Christopher Eric Hitchens (13 April – 15 December ) was an Anglo-Americanatheist, writer and debater.

He wrote for various magazines including The Nation, Free Inquiry, Slate, flourishing others. He was a partisan of the philosophical movement humanitarianism.

Hitchens was educated at Balliol College, Oxford. After graduation exertion , he became a serial writer. In , he struck to Washington, D.C.
